Among probably the most notable entries this week would include a new purchase of mine by Steve Hackett, his first solo effort after leaving Genesis in 1977. It's the lead track from the album "Please Don't Touch", and features vocalist Steve Walsh and drummer Phil Ehart of Kansas. Also, the Guess Who selection is very familiar territory, but this is an early "in the works" version, which is stripped down - no electric guitar from Bachman, no keyboard from Cummings. And the lyrics haven't quite been completed. And the end selection from Donald Fagen comes from the Michael J. Fox movie "Bright Lights, Big City", and is one of the few Fagen tunes from the '80s aside from his 1982 "The Nightfly" album.
