Leading with what was the highest charting song from The Band, one of only two songs they had to make the top 40. And the other one WASN'T "The Weight"! I have possibly the longest song I've ever played on the program, with the exception of "American Pie" (which I haven't played in over three years because I'm afraid too many people are that sick of it), and I just downloaded the Tommy James tune, his return to the top 40 in 1980 (and his LAST song to make the top 40). The Brothers Johnson song is an all time favorite that I really should play more than once a year, and the last song of the program, coming from Red Rider, was one of only two songs they ever had that charted. And the other one WASN'T "Lunatic Fringe"! Oh, and the Charlie Daniels/Discount Records ad is interesting, in that it includes a snippet of an acoustic version of Charlie's "Uneasy Rider", one that I've never heard before. Hope you like what you hear!
